Maybe someone knows the answer to this....my regular desktop computer is in the shop, so I am using my laptop, in the meantime. When I was using the desktop, I had no problem downloading RapidShare files at their correct file size. Now, that I am using the laptop, all the RapidShare downloads are only showing up as 46 KBs in size. Would anyone here know the reason for the file size problem? This doesn't happen on just one blog...it occurs on all of them. Any files I get using MegaUpload, 4 Shared, or MediaFire all download at the correct size.
@ Tony - Hope you are on the mend, my friend. :) After the broadside Frankly took, it appears we are making a slow recovery too. All good. Gives me more time to catch up on the activities at great blogs like yours. :)
I think your problem may have to do with an incompatible Download manager or plug in conflicts on your browser. You do not mention which browser you are using or which operating system your laptop is running. And are they different from your Desk Top? For instance if I use Firefox and try to use FDM I will get a similar sized file to the one you are getting. If I use FDM in Google Chrome the problem is solved. If I use the Firefox Downloader DTA anything from Megaupload is of a similar size but RShare works perfectly. My advice would be downloading a new manager for your laptop and experimenting with it in various browsers. As Megaupload has it's own manager, for RShare I suggest downloading FDM (free) and using it in Google Chrome. I hope this helps.
